Animas Chocolate Company was born on the banks of the Upper Animas River in the mountains of Southwest Colorado, when co-owner and head chocolatier Carley Snider stumbled upon an antique book containing family recipes for chocolates and confections. What began as a small shop in 2011, with only four chocolate bars and four truffles, has grown to an award-winning, renowned business.

We handcraft the finest quality chocolate confections, bean-to-bar chocolate, and so much more. With each product we craft, we pay homage to Southwest Colorado and the legacy of that worn book of family recipes. Our truffles are each named after an element found along the Animas River corridor, and each of our products are classified just like river rapids are rated: Class I-V (Class I being the easiest, most gentle flavors while class V is made for those with a truly adventurous spirit).

As small batch chocolate makers and artisanal chocolatiers, we obsess over our ingredients and continually refine our craft to create wholly unique chocolate bars, barks, and bites. Thank you for joining us on our chocolate adventure, and for choosing to lose your soul to chocolate!
